This series of three works utilises the multineedle schiffli embroidery machine. A key feature of the schiffli machine is the mechanical repeat, produced through 86 needles stitching simultaneously. The pieces seek to subvert this uniformity by changing thread colours and thicknesses, to create swathes of scribbled background marks. This is then overlaid with monumental figures using an omni stitch machine to make a stronger line.
The works are a triptych representing relationships forming and reforming as a lyrical cycle of movement.
